Use your
studied language in the real world through interaction in the community,
cultural participation, and independent research.
This project
involves choosing a variety of activities which are aligned with the foreign
language standards.

Use what you have learned to communicate with others.

Experience another culture.

Use your language to learn in other disciplines.
4)Comparisons:
Compare your language and culture to the one you are studying.

Use your language in your community

The activities have a point
value assigned to each one. You are required to complete 20 points from
each standard to total 100 points by the end of the semester.
Ø
There are three grading
periods during the semester. You need to accomplish a minimum of 20 points
during each grading period. You cannot make points up from one period to
the other. If you only earned 18 points in the first grading period, your
total cannot be over 98% at the end of the semester.
Ø
You will fill out an activity
documentation form for each activity. Please be sure to fill in the form
and get it turned immediately upon participation in an activity. We will
not accept your forms after the grading period is over.
Ø
We recommend you earn 34
points per grading period to obtain 100% at the end of the semester.
Ø
You may earn additional points
by presenting a synopsis of your experience to the class. Please arrange a
good time for this before class begins.
