2006 WASC Accreditation

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States. Among other purposes, accrediting provides certification to the public that the school is a trustworthy institution of learning and validates the integrity of a school’s program and student transcripts. This accreditation process normally takes place every 6 years and each time is preceded by an intensive self-review of the school by a representative set of staff, students and parents. The result of this review is a comprehensive self-study report which is provided to the WASC team shortly before their visit in the spring.
