HUSD Curriculum Standards
The written curriculum consists of two parts:
STANDARDS
Academic Standards define what students are to learn in specific subject areas.
Healdsburg’s K-12 Standards for Language Arts
exceed the standards recommended by the State Board of Education.
Healdsburg’s K-12 Standards for
Mathematics meet the standards recommended by the State Board of Education.
The district plans to submit standards in science, social science/history, and visual and
performing arts by June, 2000.
STANDARDS OF EXPECTED STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT (SESA’S)
The SESA’s explain what students will
know and be able to do at each grade level to meet the standards.
