The athletic program offers increased opportunities for improving
playing skills, developing physical vigor, promoting friendship, and learning good
sportsmanship. For the student body, the athletic program provides opportunities for
developing school morale, for being gracious hosts to visiting students, and for
exercising the qualities of fair play and courtesy.
The following rules and regulations govern all athletes who
represent Healdsburg High School in any kind of interscholastic competition, and are in
addition to C.I.F. regulations:

Point Average.
2. Eligibility shall be determined at the end of each six-week
grading period. At the end of a semester, semester grades shall take precedence over
six-week grades in computing GPA. (Any "incomplete" is computed as an
"F" until work is completed and the grade changed.)
3. An athlete may practice, at the discretion of the coach, during
the period of academic ineligibility but may not participate in any contest.
4. An athlete may not practice until all of the following are
on file with the athletic director:
a) proof of adequate medical insurance
b) certificate from doctor showing passing of a physical exam
c) signed drug/alcohol/tobacco policy for students involved in
extra-curricular activities
d) payment of transportation fee.
